Literature Text

Rain dropped heavily from above and lightning tore rapidly at the sky, a gray and light blue wolf known to the Powered Pack as Dream, ran through the miserable scene, her belly heavy with pups.
I’ve got to get away! She thought, I could never tell him the pups they will be unstable! I should find a place to birth them, alone. And then, I will kill it, or them. I will rid the world from a horrible creation, like the pups, I will bring to this world. She thought as she dashed through the pouring rain, hoping to find a sheltered area.

A small cave came into view of Dream, she slipped through the small opening, hoping this small cave would be enough shelter until her pups were born, and she could return to her pack, telling them they were born dead.

Not too far off from what the truth will be, I’m sorry pups, I don’t want to kill you, but, you’ll be unstable, you’ll horribly and painfully disappear out of existence. Not even the heavens know when. She thought, looking at her swollen belly.

It was a long and terrible night, later, the storm passed, and Dream had finished having her pup. Only one, dark red, with black stripes, not like the normal Powered wolf. Dream stared at the pup.
I have to kill this creation, I have to wipe him off the planet, and I don’t need anyone to know about him. She thought, staring at the pup. But, it’s so innocent. I can’t kill him! It’s against our law to kill, pups are especially guarded by it! Yes, I’ll keep him alive, but later, when he’s older and will understand, he’ll agree for me to kill him. If he’s rational he’ll understand. She glanced at the pup again. You’re safe for now my pup, but don’t think you always will be. I’ll take him back to camp and lie that Storm is his father, I mean, that idiot always liked me. Of course he’d play along with the secret.

Dream picked up the pup by his scruff with her mouth and slipped out of the cave, she looked around. The forest was almost silent, just a little rustle from the leaves, the scatter of the forest animals. Dream looked around, the sky was clear, with only a few white puffy clouds, very different than the day before. Dream looked down at her pup,

I know his power is darkness, I can look at him and tell, even though his colours are switched around, he’s red and black. I’ll name him Grim after the feeling I had when I brought him to the world.

Dream walked for about half an hour, she came across a bush with a well-hidden gap where a wolf could squeeze through. She ducked and walked into the camp through the bushes.
When Dream came to the camp which was an open area of the forest, a sandy coloured wolf with red markings rushed up to her, Dream recognized her as Spark, her sister and the pack leader.

“Dream! You’re back! Where were you? I see you have a pup! Is Storm his father?”

“Errr, I was out hunting and got lost, I had my pup when I was trying to find my way back to camp. Yeah, Storm is his father.” Dream said, hoping her sister would buy the lie.

“Fantastic! Go tell Storm right away! I’ll tell the pack you’re back!”

“Ummm, sure”

Spark walked away towards her den.
Storm, a dark gray and blue wolf ran over, his eyes gleaming with excitement at the sight of the pup.

“Dream! Is that our pup!? What’s his name?!” Storm asked with excitement in his voice.

“Yep! He’s our pup! His name is Grim, after all, he has darkness powers!” Dream replied, trying not to sound suspicious.

“Hmmm, darkness, interesting. That’s odd to have when the pup’s parents have water powers and mind-reading abilities.”

“Erm, yeah”

Storm looked at Dream with an odd look on his face, “Dream, y’know, it’s really odd he had darkness powers, and you’ve never um yeah.”

“Uh yeah, see, I’ll explain.”

Dream explained her reasons, and who Grim’s father was, Storm stayed nodded in understanding afterwards.

“Dream, I understand why you would lie to the pack. I totally understand, I’ll keep your secret, don’t worry. I’ll pretend I’m the father of Grim. I’ll act just like a father to him.”

“Th-tha-thank you so much Storm, this means so much to me. Now, let’s make a nest in the nursing den for me.”

“Okay, let’s go.” Storm said, as they walked to the nursing den.

Dream looked into the sunlight, One day Grim, one day I will get rid of you, either by force, or by you agreeing.
Yep, I decided to write out the prologue. I really hate the prologue, and some of the stuff isn't cannon anymore, like in the comic when Storm says it's a 1/100 chance of having Darkness Powers. I also added better, more realistic dialogue. Okay, so, the comic prologue is NO LONGER CANNON. This is the way the events actually happened. Also, looking back at the old prologue, before Dream has Grim, she thinks "My pup", and I'm not sure how she knows it's one. So yeah, I changed it.

So yeah, this is now cannon.

Maybe I'll do this with chapter 1, it was a little odd too.
